Refunds & Cancellations
Plans change. Let’s keep it simple.
Before work begins
If you cancel before any consultation, design work, or sample order has begun, you’ll receive a full refund of your payment.
Once work has started
If you cancel after work begins, I’ll deduct the agreed value of completed work and the cost of samples already ordered, and refund the remaining balance. Work can include your consultation, color research, sourcing, and preparation of your recommendations, even before a plan has been delivered. The value of package work used for any cancellation calculation will be explained in your booking confirmation before you pay. You’ll receive an itemized explanation of any deductions.
Unused design hours
For Designer by Your Side, completed time is charged at $50 per hour from your prepaid five-hour block. If you end the project, unused paid hours are refundable. Any separate purchases already authorized and made for you are accounted for before the remaining balance is returned.
Moving an appointment
If you need to reschedule, email me as soon as you can so we can find another appointment. If I need to cancel your project, I’ll refund any payment for work not completed and samples not ordered.
Samples and other purchases
Sample costs already committed to your project are deducted from a cancellation refund. Purchases you make directly from furniture, paint, or other retailers follow that retailer’s return policy.
If a color needs another look
Your color package includes one round of revisions to any colors in your palette that aren’t the right fit for your home. Request it within seven calendar days of sample delivery, provided your space, existing furnishings and finishes, and overall direction remain the same. Please reach out so I can help you review the colors in your home.
Requesting a refund
Email darci@roomforhue.com with your name and the package or appointment you’d like to cancel. I’ll confirm the work completed, any sample costs, and the refund amount with you. This policy applies to new bookings from October 3, 2026.
